Week of April 17th

My group did our project on The Invisible Boy. The book was about a boy named Brian who was always left out of everything at school. I presented the slide about the narrative pantomime. I said to think about a time where you felt left out whether it was at school, at home, at a friends house, or at the park and how it made you feel.      When it came time to put my artwork in McKay I really didn't know how to feel about it. When it came to art when I was in elementary school and middle school I was never good in art when there was only one thing we were allowed to do. For this class we were basically allowed to do whatever we wanted to get creative as long as we got the work done. For the rocks I did a heart on one a message on another one and i painted the third one black with dots on it. For the parody art I took Andy Warhols strawberry art and I drew strawberries and drew spongebob characters in them by what color they are. I drew spongebob and colored him yellow...

Week of April 3rd

This week we talked about different types of drama. There was dramatic play which is when students take on roles. There was also creative drama where students improvise. There are ways teachers can get involved in the play too by dressing up.  After reading a book about a boy not being allowed to take his elephant inside somewhere we made signs about any type of animal allowed anywhere. Mine said all animals are welcome. Honestly if you read that kind of book and said told younger students to make a sign stating all animals are allowed they would use their imagination and get very creative.
